This painting inspired originally by the size of the giant logs the queen sits on, which seemed to imply the need for deep snow.

An unfortunate accident on this astronauts spaceship has stranded her on an unknown and strange planet only to find that she is confronted by unexpected new dangers.

Here I was hoping to achieve a gloomy prospect of threat as the tree branches become tentacles.
